Greetings, Augie Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) Alumni!
Welcome to your favorite inbox moment of the month — the latest issue of GOLDen Times has arrived! My name is Brittany Burk ’15, and I will be taking over the August edition of our newsletter. Let’s get to it!
I graduated with a double major in CSD and psychology with a minor in sociology. I am wrapping up my term on the GOLD Council after six years on the Professional Development Committee. While at Augustana, I was involved in Alpha Phi Omega, Dance Marathon, Campus Ministries, Appalachia Service Trips, UNYK and other things that I'm forgetting!
The GOLD Council wants to invite you to Homecoming, Sept. 26-28! From the CSD brunch, soccer and football games, and a variety of reunions, there is something for you at homecoming. Don’t miss the QuadFest activities and the highly anticipated young alumni bingo night! That’s right, we are bringing bingo back! Space is limited, so don’t forget to register for homecoming and bingo!

Book recommendation: Now and Not Yet
If you are in a place where you feel like you are in a season of waiting, this book is for you. Now and Not Yet is a faith-filled book that reminds us it is OK if our current situation does not look like we imagined it would. The author reminds us that “someday is made up of thousands of right nows,” and what it looks like to “live faithfully in the tension between what is and what is not yet.”
